  Once again, it is the late, the night before Thanksgiving and I'm finishing up some cute little project for my Thanksgiving guests.  I seem to do this every year- I see all of these great ideas to dress up your Thansgiving table in the magazines and think, hey I can do that!  The problem is I spend too much time thinking about it and waiting until the last minute to start the project.

This is my creation for this year... a cute littel pilliow box made with the Pillow Box die for my Big Shot machine.  It truly is a quick and easy design.  Only problem was that I needed 25 of the babies!

Holiday Mail for Heros

This holiday season, the American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes Inc. are teaming up to send holiday cards to service men and women in the United States and around the world. From Tuesday, November 11 until Wednesday, December 10, the public is invited to send holiday cards with their message of thanks and cheer to a special post office box. The Red Cross and Pitney Bowes will then screen cards for hazardous materials, sort and package the cards, and deliver them to military bases and hospitals, veteran’s hospitals, and other locations during the holidays. 

“This opportunity is such a great way for the public to personally support the military and say a special thank you for their service this holiday season,” said Gail McGovern, Red Cross President and CEO. “I’m especially proud that the Red Cross is able to be a part of this effort, and I hope everyone will take the time to join us and send an extra card for the military.”

Instructions

Napkin ring
Make card stock note using Top Note Bigz die. Adhere Designer Series paper on card stock, stamp (on New Year's napkin ring), fold, and smooth folds using bone folder. Stamp label image, punch out and/or cut, and adhere to napkin ring. Punch out slots and tie together with ribbon (Note: New Year's napkin ring is tied together with Silver elastic cord). Accent as shown.

Name plate
Make card stock note using Top Note Bigz die; stamp (on New Year's name plate), fold in half, and smooth fold with bone folder. Adhere Designer Series paper on card stock (Note: layer paper on Old Olive card stock first for Christmas name plate). Accent as shown.

Favor
Make favor box using Pillow Box die, and fill with treats. Create belly band out of Designer Series paper (Note: layer paper for New Year's favor), and adhere to favor. Stamp label image, and punch out. Adhere label and accent as shown.

Confetti
Make several large and small scallop circles out of Designer Series paper. Stamp and cut out/punch smaller images (acorns for Thanksgiving, trees for Christmas, and snowflakes for New Year's) as shown. Glue glitter on snowflakes.

Holiday Wishes Card

Stampin' Kit Holiday Collection Stampin' Kit Paper Whisper White card stock: 3" x 1/2"; 3" x 3" Baja Breeze textured card stock: 2" x 2"; 2-1/2" x 6" (finished size) Accessories & Tools Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter Stampin' Dimensionals Horizontal Slot punch Scallop Circle punch 3/16" Corner Rounder punch Sewing machine and thread Staples

Instructions

1. Fold Designer Series paper around front of Baja Breeze textured card, and adhere.
2. Punch vertical slot in end of Designer Series paper using Horizontal Slot punch. Tie Whisper White taffeta ribbon around front of card through slot.
3. Stamp "Holiday wishes" in Riding Hood Red ink on Whisper White card stock. Staple to card.
4. Sew top edge of card using sewing machine and thread.
5. Stamp snowflake image in Old Olive ink on Whisper White card stock, and punch out using Scallop Circle punch. Apply glue to dot portions of snowflake, and cover with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter. Shake off excess glitter.
6. Stamp snowflake image in Old Olive ink on Baja Breeze textured card stock, and cut out center star portion of image. Turn star over so no ink is visible, and adhere to center of snowflake.
7. Adhere large White halfback pearl to center of snowflake.
8. Adhere Designer Series paper circle die cut to chipboard circle. Adhere snowflake piece to chipboard circle using Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere chipboard circle to card.
