Today was my New Catalog Unveiling so I didn't get to do any new stamping today. I wanted to thank everyone who stopped by today- I had a great time and I hope you did as well.
The card I'm sharing today I did earlier this week while playing with Inspired by Nature. I hadn't used my watercolor crayons direct to rubber lately and knew that this set would lend itself wonderfully for this technique.
I created this card by coloring directly on the rubber stamp with my watercolor wonder crayons- I used Old Olive, Garden Green, Summer Sun, More Mustard, Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip crayons. Next I lightly misted both my watercolor paper and the stamp- be sure when doing this that both are lightly misted, too much water and the colors will all run together. Then press the designed into the watercolor paper.
Because I'm inpatient, I used my heat gun to dry the paper more quickly. If you have more patience, then you can set the card aside until the paper fully dries. Once the paper was dry I stamped the sentiment with Chocolate Chip classic ink.
I finished this no-layers card by tearing the edge and sponging with Chocolate Chip classic ink. BTW, when I was finishing the card my husband mentioned to me that using a dark edge on the right side of a photo, or in this case a card, naturally draws the viewer's attention to the center. Interesting piece of information and when I had both the sponged and the unsponged cards side by side, I noticed how true this concept is. Something I'll have to keep in mind for the future :)

This is so soft and pretty. Great job!!!

This is a beautiful card! I never thought a no-layer card could look so great.
