I have been stamping for nearly ten years and have been a demonstrator with Stampin' Up! since March, 2001.
I still have my very first stamp "Thanksgiving Couple" by Rubber Stampede which I bought too many years ago. As the story goes, I was browsing the aisle of my local Michael's store (can't remember what for) saw the stamps and thought they'd be cute. I bought the pilgrim stamp, a cheap black stamp pad and some inexpensive white cardstock. I used my son's markers from his school supplies to color in the images. That year I sent out 10-15 Thanksgiving cards. After that I bought a set of Christmas stamps and sent out about 15-20 handstamped Christmas cards. The rest they say is history. Over the years I have probably made thousands of cards and have had several projects featured in The Rubber Stamper Magazine.
In addition to rubber stamping I have also moved into the scrapbooking arena. This allows me to preserve those special memories, trips, and events in life for my children and generations to come.
As I said I have been a demonstrator with Stampin' Up! for over seven years now. Since my humble beginnings as a stamper my collection has grown from that pilgram stamp, one ink pad, and a pack of paper, to an entire room. I have more stamps that I'll admit to, ink pads in everyone one of Stampin' Up!s exclusive colors, cardtocks, punches, wheels, ribbons, cutters, and more.
I have found that Stampin' Up! has something to offer everyone. Their styles range from retro, to romantic, to comic, to whimsical. They have stamps that appeal to the very young to those not so young. There are stamps for cards, stamps for gifts, and stamps for scrapbooking.
I look forward to sharing my love of stamping and scrapbooking with you through my blog, my workshops, my classes, and stamp camps.
